Loaves going into the oven at Buono’s

Need to know

Fresh made. Right here.

Italian equipment, plain good flour and filtered water, all in the back of the shop.

Read the sign in the window.

“Fresh baked” can mean made somewhere else, shipped frozen, then baked in the store. Buono’s window says “Fresh made”: prepared, baked, packaged and sold on the premises.

  • Equipment from Italy

In 2006 the ovens, mixers and racks were imported from Italy and installed by master technicians.

  • Unbleached, unbromated flour

Only unbleached and unbromated flour goes into the bread.

  • Ultrafiltered water

The water is ultrafiltered on site. Reverse osmosis is never used.

A portion of every dollar.

Part of each dollar spent at Buono’s goes to local causes:

Providence Police and Fire Department · Johnston Police and Fire Department · The Special Olympics · soup kitchens · Providence Rescue Mission · churches · other private charities.

The bakery calls itself “Providence’s Best Kept Secret!”
